In late 2019 and 2020 Transition Kerry hosted some amazing climate and biodiversity talks and demonstrations here at the centre. One of their demonstrations was how to plant a native wood and a hedge. The section planted is behind our wild grass area at the front. The plants may seem small now but in time this area will be home to the mighty Oak (Quercus Rober) and Birch (Betula Pendula). Once grown our wood will be home to even more varieties of Birds, Insects and Mammals. We are very proud to be involved with all these initiatives.
