National Biodiversity Week 2023 (19th - 28th May)

This years National Biodiversity Week begins on the 19th May to 28th May 2023. Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco & Activity Park with An Taisce, Legacy4Life, Ponds for Biodiversity Project and Irish Wildlife Trust,  will be running activities all this week long, focusing on our own native species of flora and fauna that make up our island’s biodiversity.

Thursday 19th May @ 4pm - 5pm
Bee Survey. Join Alan Balfe for a Bee Survey as we explore the life of bees at Tralee Bay Wetlands. €3.00 per person

Sunday 21st May @ 9:30am – 1pm
Pond Creation, Management, and Monitoring for Wildlife. Come join us for a pond biodiversity talk, followed by a practical look at the aquatic life that inhabit these incredible wetlands. By An Taisce, Legacy4LIFE, Ponds for Biodiversity Project Free Event

Thursday 25th May @ 8:30pm - 10:30pm
Bat Walk with Irish Wildlife Trust. Join us at Tralee Bay Wetlands & Irish Wildlife Trust to learn about bats and then go to Ballyseedy Woods to see them at dusk. Free Event
