Yes, Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco and Activity Park is open daily from 10 am. The Visitor Centre is currently closed to the public for the month of December 2021 for essential maintenance. The public park walkway is available daily to pedestrians and the car park opens from 9 am and closes at 5 pm.
Most of our visitors to the Tralee Bay Wetlands drive (please note that our cark park is free to use). We are located in Ballyard, in Tralee, Co Kerry just across the road from the Aquadome. It is just off the roundabout for Dingle Road. We are e a 15-minute walk from the Tralee Train and Bus Station.

Currently, all visitors must book a time slot for their nature tour or activity in advance. This is to minimise the queues at reception and to allow you to book a time that suits you. Our online tickets can be purchased through our Booking System.
We also accept offline booking over the phone or by email, but our preferred option is online as you can view available timeslots on our booking engine.
Our visitors that have spent time at Tralee Bay Wetlands normally spend 2-3 hours here. Whether it be going on a Guided Nature Tour with the Ecologists in our Wonderful Eco Park, taking part in the Activities on the Activity Lake and Walkway or spending time in the Lakeside Café there is plenty for all ages to do.
There is no admission/entrance fee to the Tralee Bay Wetlands Visitor Centre. To get access to the Nature Reserve we recommend you go on a Nature Tour with our Ecologists or if you wish to enjoy the time on your own we have a Self-Guided Nature Tour that gives you access to our Eco Park. All our Nature Tours and Activities are priced individually.
Car and Coach parking is free to customers.
There are both Ladies & Gents restrooms with baby changing facilities, in the main visitor centre. All have hand washing facilities and there are many hand sanitising stations through-out the Park.
All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times within both the activity area and wildlife reserve. Please note some light water sports activities and climbing require signed adult consent.
Yes, if you wish to bring a picnic, there are picnic benches available on the front green. There is also a café onsite.
Feeding the birds and other wildlife is generally NOT permitted or encouraged. Giving them the incorrect food or too much bread can make them sick.
We do not have storage lockers available on site .
Yes, you can charge your phone in the visitor centre. We have a charging and sterilising unit with small cabinets to charge your phone and keep your small personal belongings in such as a wallet, keys. These cabinets are password protected by your own unique password you can create/input on site. We ask that you can follow the steps on the unit provided.
