Explore the Wonders of Climate Change and Biodiversity with Hands-On Experiences

Tralee Bay Wetlands Ecology & Activity Park is thrilled to announce the launch of its "Beginners Guide to Climate Change and Biodiversity" sessions as part of Science Week 2024, starting on Tuesday, 12th November and Wednesday, 13th November 2024, in collaboration with MTU (Munter Technological University). Nestled in the heart of Tralee, this vibrant park offers a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the natural world, gaining insights into the pressing issues of climate change and biodiversity loss.

Our 2 hour sessions, both days at 9:30am, 12pm & 2pm, are designed to inspire and educate tourists, families, nature enthusiasts, and educational groups alike.

"At Tralee Bay Wetlands, we believe in the power of education to spark change," says Senior Ecologist, Alan Balfe." These sessions are not just about learning; they're about empowering our community to make a difference in the world. By understanding the impact of climate change and biodiversity loss, we can all take small steps that lead to significant positive outcomes."

Benefits of Attending the Sessions:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of how climate change affects our daily lives and practical steps to mitigate its impact.
  • Discover the crucial role wetlands play in providing natural climate solutions.
  • Learn about the importance of biodiversity and how its loss impacts us all.
