Nature Bay Walk on Sunday, 25th January 2026

Nature Bay Walk

See our migratory birds in their natural habitat. These birds have been coming to Tralee Bay since before it was called Tralee Bay and this time of year is the best time to see these birds in huge flocks. Some iconic species we might see are the Canadian Pale Bellied Brent Geese, Red Shanks, Greenshanks and Curlew to name but a few.  This event will be led by Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco & Activity Park Ecologists. They will animate the natural and social history of the Tralee Bay S.A.C and Ramsar site, providing an easy introduction to wintering & resident wading birds. The walk will begin at the carpark of the lock gates and then journey down the bay exploring the ecology of this internationally protected area.
