Join us on 2 February 2026 as Tralee Bay Wetlands Ecology Park proudly honours World Wetlands Day, a global celebration recognising the vital role wetlands play in sustaining life, culture, and community. This year’s theme, “Wetlands and Traditional Knowledge: Celebrating Cultural Heritage,” highlights the deep connections between people and wetlands across generations. These landscapes are living archives of wisdom, tradition, and identity, places where nature and culture intertwine. “Wetlands are a sacred, life sustaining and timeless legacy that are ours to protect” The schedule of events for the day; All events on the day are free of charge for adults and children (children must be accompanied by an adult).
