The Rose of Tralee Festival Air Display wowed crowds at the Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre on August 19th. Thousands of spectators turned up to watch the low flying aircrafts do their loops, spins and rolls and put on a fantastic show. The Irish Coast Guard, who retired their 34-year-old Sikorsky S61N helicopter in July 2012, displayed their shining new Sikorsky S92. The Irish Air Corps had their Casa CN-235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

A group of Roses and Escorts came down to us to meet and greet all the fans at the Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre. There was a great turnout with lots of excited children and adults also! Plenty of autograph books out to be signed and smiles all round for the cameras. Then commenced the all important Pedal Boat Race! The couples battled it out on the activity lake against eachother, pedalling as fast as possible.

And their off! Saturday 18th August 2012 saw the Tralee Rotary Club start their 10km run in aid of The Hope Foundation and the Pat Healy Orphanage. There was a great turn out of supporters with families and friends lining the road to cheer the runners on. Thankfully we had a nice clear, sunny day for it.
