Join us for a day of community spirit and cultural celebration as we come together to weave a traditional willow fence in the heart of our Town and County

Heritage Connection
Willow weaving is more than a practical craft; it is a tangible link to our past. In Ireland, the use of willow for fencing, basketry, and other utilitarian items dates back centuries. By engaging in this communal activity, we honour the resourcefulness of our ancestors and preserve their knowledge for future generations. This event serves as a living history lesson, reminding us of our roots and the sustainable practices that were integral to rural Irish life.
